About Prabhava Groups
Prabhava Groups is a small independent project that publishes free DevOps tools and practical
guides at prabhavagroups.dev. The idea is simple: the small jobs that interrupt
an engineer's day, like decoding a cron schedule, working out whether two subnets overlap or
rewriting a docker run command as Compose, should take seconds, should not need
an account, and should not send your data to someone else's server.
What we build
Every tool is a static page. The logic is written in TypeScript, covered by automated tests, and executed in your browser. We pair each tool with an explanation of the underlying concept, worked examples and a list of common mistakes, because understanding why an answer is right matters more than copying it.
- Cron Expression Generator & Explainer: Build cron schedules, translate them into plain English and preview the next run times.
- CIDR / Subnet Calculator: Calculate network, broadcast, masks, usable host range and host counts for IPv4 and IPv6.
- Docker Run to Docker Compose Converter: Paste a docker run command and get a ready-to-use docker-compose.yml, with warnings for anything that does not translate.
- Kubernetes Resource Requests & Limits Calculator: Work out pod CPU and memory requests and limits, the QoS class, total deployment footprint and how many pods fit on a node.
- Dockerfile Generator: Generate production-ready Dockerfiles for Node, Python, Go, Java and static sites, with multi-stage builds and a matching .dockerignore.
- Chmod Calculator: Convert between octal and symbolic Linux file permissions, set special bits and copy the chmod command.
- .gitignore Generator: Combine templates for languages, frameworks, editors and operating systems into one clean .gitignore file.
- JWT Decoder: Decode a JSON Web Token, read its claims and expiry, and optionally verify an HMAC signature, all locally.
- Base64 Encoder/Decoder & Hash Generator: Encode and decode Base64 (including URL-safe) and generate MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512 hashes for text or files.
- JSON, YAML & TOML Converter: Convert configuration data between JSON, YAML and TOML with validation and readable error messages.
- Regex Tester: Test JavaScript regular expressions with live match highlighting, capture groups and a replace preview.
How we work
- Privacy first. Inputs are processed locally. We have no database of what you paste and no accounts. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
- Accuracy over volume. Behaviour follows the relevant standards: Vixie cron semantics, RFC 4632 for CIDR, RFC 3021 for /31 links, RFC 5952 for IPv6 text representation and the Compose Specification. Edge cases are tested.
- Fast and accessible. Pages ship minimal JavaScript, use system fonts, and work with a keyboard and screen reader. Dark mode follows your system setting.
- Honest about limits. When a converter cannot translate something, it tells you instead of guessing.
How the site is funded
The tools are free to use. To cover hosting and the time it takes to maintain them, the site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads are shown only after you give consent where the law requires it, they are kept away from the tool interfaces, and you can decline without losing any functionality.
